The Gerald A. Doering Foundation supports projects that bring people together through creativity, learning, and compassion. We help build spaces and experiences that honor art, history, animals, maker culture, and community voices that are often overlooked.
Through the Bank Art Gallery in Newburgh and our partnerships across the Hudson Valley, we create opportunities for artists, students, and local residents to connect with the arts in ways that are accessible, hands-on, and meaningful. Whether it’s a museum exhibition, an outdoor sculpture, a maker program, or educational workshops, we invest in projects that strengthen our community and celebrate creativity in everyday life.
We believe that the arts and education create real change especially in places where access has been limited. By working alongside schools, artists, and community organizations, we strive to expand cultural opportunities, support artistic careers, and bring inspiring public art to neighborhoods that deserve it.
Our goal is simple: help creativity take root, grow, and belong to everyone.
The Hudson River Sculpture Walk is a new public arts destination being developed by the Gerald A. Doering Foundation on the Newburgh waterfront.
Opening in 2026, the project will feature monumental outdoor sculptures and the Marmentini Living Museum, creating a cultural landmark along the Hudson River.
More details to come as we continue planning with artists, community partners, and city agencies.
